I make cold process small batch artisan soaps. If that sounds like a bunch of gibberish to you I'll explain! Soap is made by combining oils like Olive oil, coconut oil, Palm oil, lard, tallow, sweet almond oil, castor oil or many, many others, and adding lye (sodium hydroxide) mixed with liquid (usually water or goat milk, you could even use coffee or tea!) Then it goes through the Saponification process turning the ingredients into soap! But wait, it's not ready yet! Now it goes through a 4 to 6 week curing phase. This is necessary to get it to the proper pH balance and to rid the bar of the extra liquid. At the time you mix the oils and lye, you also add the fragrance and colors. Then put in the mold and do any swirls or embeds or any design. Custom orders are welcome, but it will take the full month-month and a half to cure! All my soap is vegan. I use a mix of olive oil, Palm oil, coconut oil and sweet almond oil. I make it in small batches, 10-20 bars at a time. Message with any questions!
